type 44 fogging no spring solution

Blaufergnugen/audiquattroparts.com has the spring for $4.39;
on one hand, expensive, as a hardware store spring is probably
$2 or less, but otoh, it fits, is ostensibly "right," ehh,
I ordered a blower motor from them, got the spring at the
same time - $3 extra (or so) was worth it to me, no trip to the
hardware store, it magically appears.

When my 87s broke, I just stretched the last coil, bent a new
hook and reinstalled - seemed to work just fine.

YMMV.
