4kq and issues

The 4kq intake path contains a weak spot at the lowest point of the
flexible air duct that loops down from the intake opening under the fender.
By now, that old duct has rotted and has holes in it that allow water to
get sucked into the induction path when that water is only about a foot
deep.  Mine did it and failed with hydrolock, requiring engine replacement.

Check yours.
