and the earlier cars (84 and earlier?) had their intake setup lower -
inside the front bumper side wing area.

Mine didn't bend a rod, it "cocked" a piston close to TDC and caused a
nasty burr on the cylinder wall. The engine could be turned by hand
about 355 degrees each way, but would not get past that little ding.

half way up the doors is even weirder... when your bow wave starts
cresting over the hood you begin to wonder what you are doing... oops,
that overhead bridge forced the *lowering* of the road underneath it.
water deeper than it appeared. 1-800-AAA-HELP time!
