Rear lift gate gas struts

I used to make these in competition with the German companies that make them
for Audi.  The quality standards used by this former competitor are, while
acceptable for automotive apps, not great by what can be done.  The gas
charge is not able to deal with low temperatures and Suspa, the manufacturer
does not use a quality seal.

So you only answer is to replace, and this is something you will have to do
every 7-10 years.  Same with Chrysler only worse, who told us when we
tendered that the struts only had to work for 3 years.  After that it was
replacement time and $$$.
