Why is everyone so bent on finding a replacement for pentosin? If your car leaks fix the leak. A liter of the real stuff costs 8 bucks through the right suppliers, fix your leaks buy two cans to fill up the system and throw the rest in the trunk to sit there and collect dust?
Mike,
Your problem is probably that when the P/S and P/B system gets hot (from highway driving) it will leak (probably on the rack and pinion or the power steering pump) but when cold no leaks are present. Your best bet to find the leak is to power wash the engine (stay away from the distributor and fuel meter) ake sure to get the pump real good. After that go for a drive and you will see oil spots on the pump or oil spots on the transmission (from the rack). Typically the pump leaks at the seals where those weird screwdriver slots are.
