HELP NEEDED: 4ksq rear ball joint self-locking bolt

Hi folks,
During the switch-over to snows today, I noticed that one of the self-lock
bolts that holds the driver rear BJ into the wheel bearing housing has
sheared off at the head.  The other one is still there, and the nut holding
the BJ to the joint carrier is fine.  Everything else is tight.

Tomorrow's project is to drill out the stuck part, chase the threads and
replace the bolt.  Wondy.

Questions:
--what thread pitch do I need to get?
--length of bolt?
--time to replace the other bolt?
--park the car until this is fixed?  or can I drive it?

List replies are fine, as others may go through this in the future.
