Well I'd certainly like to think so. Glad you noticed!

anton, you clearly are a man of taste and discernment. ;-)

tucker, some of the best beaches in the world are up north (nz), some of the
best alpine scenery is down south, as are the lakes and fjords, and not a
lot of people. for an active tourist (climbing, mountain biking, hiking),
the south offers the most scope. very good fishing also (game fishing in
the north, trout in the south). great sailing in the north, with auckland
currently full of america's cup boats and volvo ocean racers. now, if the
weather would just sort itself out, we'd all be happy.

with the exchange rate, its pretty damn easy for uk and usa types. just
bring a pre-sept 11 attitude, and all will be well...a lot of northern
hemisphere types seem to be in nz these days, probably trying to jump the
queue. my great-grandfather saw the light and moved down-under from usa in
the 1860's, 220 years after escaping from england - clearly a perceptive
bloke :-o)

we've just moved north to auckland so if you want to see a couple of non-usa
q's, drop me a line.

You are fulfilling a life long dream of mine. In fact I came so close to
landing a job in Wellington a year ago I was looking at houses there on
the 'net'.
 Good luck man
