Damn! Forgot to put washers on head bolts! Need some advice.

Maybe this will solve the problem.

I just looked at 3 sets of head bolts from a 84 5000T, 86 5000S and a 87
5000TQ.
In one set the washers slide off (threads level with the bolt Diameter).
This head bolt
is bigger in diameter above the threads to the head of the bolt.
 In the other two sets the washers don't slide off. (Threads are above
the bolt diameter).
This account for the washers not coming off.
