I could make you a stepped stud if you could get me a drawing or good
description but it probably wouldn't be timely to ship it wherever you
are.  Lemme know if you want one.
You could always get an 8mm stud and have it turned down and
rethreaded to 6mm on one end.  Any machine shop should be able to do
it cheaply, especially if you supply the stud.
