Blinker Solution with Eurolights...

I too think that 500 feet is extremely excessive.  In CA the law for low
beams is 300 feet, you can not use your high beams if you are within 500
feet.  This is all according to the 1999 California Vehicle Code.  There
is no distance listed for front blinkers, i am not sure about the
rears.  I have looked into this quite a bit because i added some
selective yellow 85W H3 bulbs in some Hella Micro DF fog lights.
Believe it or not, it is legal to run the fogs only as long as the city
lights are on (comes in very handy in snow).  I haven't been pulled over
for it yet, but I carry the VC book just in case.  Take care.
