Subject: Bar reading at .3

that reading sounds bogus. My car would idle at .2 or .3 bar and even w/ a
frozen turbo, I would get to .9 bar. If the reading doesn't fluctuate and
stays only close to .3 bar, sounds like a possible problem w/ the ECU, the
manifold to ECU hose [maybe the hose is connected to the wrong port???], the
pressure gauge readout, or even the wiring beteween the ECU and readout. You
can test the system by putting a Mighty-vac or something like that and place
vacuum on it till it changes the display, or you can add pressure to see if
it matches on the display...but don't do any more than 14 psi. Also the
gauge should be 1.0 w/ the car on, but engine off. If not something is up w/
the ECU - gauge readout area. You can elimante the problem further by using
a multimeter and seeing which output is wrong. I think the ECU output ~ 0-5V
corresponding to 0-2 bar. good luck.
