I have to check the net for their dimensions, I know that they are one of
the ones I've considered. The problem with the type 44 is there are few
clean looking places to place fogs (I'd like the lower grille but there
is not a lot of height, nor depth before running into something vital.).
I have had experience with the traditional optic Hella 181 fogs, which
were also awesome, even with 55W bulbs. Made my way through many a storm
with them and running lights on only.(The GTi has seen very few snowy
days in it's past few years, and it's the only car with city lights at
the moment.)
As for the 500 ft, I was also commenting about drivers coming up from
behind. That's too close too.
