There are other clues as to whether the car is an '87.5 with a 2.3L. The
most obvious is the body colored rear spoiler and side mirrors. Check the
rear brakes, too. The "Special Build" Coupe had discs all 'round.
Huw Powell's comments were on the mark. 100K miles is as low as I have
heard. Mine has 130K and I wouln't have parted with it for $1900 BEFORE I
rebuilt most of the suspension; bushings, struts, shocks, brakes, etc. The
ball-joints are worn but OK for the moment. It was a lot of money but the
resulting ride was well worth it.
