How can/do these companies offer warranties w/o ever seeing or checking
out your car? I'm a bit skeptical about extended automobile warranties,
especially one you can buy over the net. Has anyone out there ever used
an extended warranty purchased from a dealer or online and was satisfied
w/ the
service? I bought a Saab Turbo Convertible a few years ago that came w/
an extended warranty. I never had to use it but when I read it I
recalled thinking it was BS. They're written by attorneys and serve
mainly to limit the liability of the of the company offering. It
appeared that repairs would be covered if the failure of the component
was due to lack of lubrication in many cases? What the hell does that
mean and how do you prove it. I also recall that there were limits.
For example if a tranny needed to be replaced the company was liable up
to the 1st $1500 and the car owner paid the balance. In my opinion the
only warranty worth anything is the one that came w/ the NEW car.

Well, first off - see if you can find somewhere to buy an extended
warranty
plan. We bought ours from www.warrantybynet.com. Audi will also offer
extended warranty plans.

Second - you'll need to replace the timing belt in another 12.000 miles,
@60K.

Third - is this your first ever Audi? If so - beware! There's something
about owning and driving these cars that is highly addictive - it won't
be
your last! ESPECIALLY a Quattro. Are you on snow country?
