Thanks for the replies and the great info!
I did purchase an Extended Warranty Plan through the dealership that was
offered by Ford. It cost me approxamtely $2000 but being a previous owner
of a 1990 90 (not a quatro:( I have been introduced to Audi repairs, and
figured it was worth the extra insurance.
Their is a 14 day waiting period for the warranty but it "seems" pretty
inclusive 36month/36k mile. They offered four levels the first being drive
train, the fourth being bumper to bumper. I picked the 2nd Best, which is a
step below bumper to bumper, No experience with it yet, but will see. It
does say they do not cover recalls or repairs caused by either non-covered
items or repairs caused by failure to preform periodic mainteannce. (i.e.
damage for not replacing the infamous Audi timing "belt".)
I also later found out that one of the local audi dealerships offered a 4
year 60k for $2200? Still trying to change it.
By the way we do live in Colorado are planing on heading for the hills this
weekend. So far the car has been awesome!
