As I said before, I know what the manual says, but I think Audi has reduced
this upon experience with the cars. Seems like I read that tidbit on one of
the lists a few weeks ago.

I don't know if I can get the belt done under the warrantybynet warranty.
Isn't that a maintenance item? I don't think that routine maintenance is
covered. Just broken stuff, like the water pump. They're supposedly covering
that part, and the dealer said that since the timing belt ought to be
changed, they'll only charge me for the parts as extra - so around $250 on
top of the water pump warranty repair.
