This got my attention, let me see if I understood you right:
Is honoring the warranty contingent on *their* service? If so, I
understand that to be *very* illegal. A difficult battle to fight, but
illegal nonetheless.
For new cars, I know that warranty law states that honoring the warranty
can not be cintingent upon any particular brand of parts or service
unless those parts/service are provided free of charge by the individual
offering the warranty. Also, burden of proof is on *them,* not the car
owner, to show that a particular defect was caused by something (say,
upping the boost..) that would void the warranty.
Is it different for these extended things?
