Here in MI, you will get away with killing any intruder at any time, as long
as he is *found_dead_inside_your_home*. If he runs outside and dies - I have
been told by police - "pull him back inside, and you're OK"

Not in MI at all! As a matter of fact, if you don't like the weather in MI,
