Jim,

my sedan 200tq '89 had a leak in that place. It was there a year I owned the car and I am sure
it leaked a while before. One cold morning when I start the car I've heard loud groaning. When I
opened a hood I discovered that a leak turned into big spray. Pentosin was drained within a
minute. After I removed the hose I noticed big crack in it in the area you describe. I rebuilt
the hose at Aeroequip dealer. Perfect job. I don't have metal part and I don't see o-ring
versions on junk yards. Metal rings version is in abundance.

Good luck.
