What, if any liability from Audi, T-belt.

Only If it's under warranty, I would presume.

My 93-100S owners book mentions 60K for belt R&R.  Audi dealer sez 75K.
I just had it replaced at 65K and aside from some oil on the belt, it looked
OK.
Idlers sounded rough, however, replaced them too.

FWIW....a co-worker owns a Porsche 928. It's Timing belt broke at 65K miles.
A $6,000 repair bill awaits him.

I agree. The T-belt replacement with associated parts is not an inexpensive
repair.

BTW, Mercedes Benz Diesels and Gas engines use a Timing Chain which is good
for well over 100K. The BMW K series motorcycle use a Timing Chain, too. Why
can't Audi use a chain?
