Thanks to all who replied: Taka, Larry, Mike & Andy.

In summary it appears to be a big maybe. It seems they will fit (I was never
worried about this), of course they'll change my speedo a little (knew
this), but no one is sure if they'll stick good. I think they will, I was
just looking for a little validation.

Some of you were surprised I thought the Touring T/A's were crap. Well, they
are :-) They don't even hold a candle to the Goodyear RSA's I had on the old
Talon, and those weren't that great either. The car is very tentative in the
dry, and in snow/ice it either has wicked off-throttle push, or wicked
on-throttle oversteer. Nowhere near as neutral as I would like. I'm *not*
comparing them to snow tires, just to other all-seasons I've owned in the
past.

For those who would shy away from studs, my experience has been yes, they
are slippery in the dry, but it's a small price to pay for all the ice we
get here in NH. I don't mind a little slipping and sliding in actual snow,
snow's got enough traction so you can play WRC champion when that happens.
But there's nothing you can do on ice except deploy the stud's. They were
great on the Mustang when we had to drive it in the winter. Took it from
being completely undrivably dangerous to just merely exciting :-0

Best regards,

st
