Central Locking Fuse

I purchased a 1997 A6 with non-functioning central locking system.
Everything checks out, but fuse A3 (auxiliary fuse box I under hood) is
missing. Manual says 15 amp fuse should go there, but there is only ONE
pole to insert into. Is there such a thing as a uni-pole fuse, or is
there a missing wire which should be attached to the fuse block?
Any help is appreciated.
