Urgent help needed please - Audi pro's where are you?

Well, you *could* have a blocked coolant line, but more likely is the water
pump has sheared from the shaft internally.  The radiator will gradually get
warm without a pump actually pumping, just because the heating of the coolant
will generate some flow on it's own.  If it was one of my customers, the
first thing I'd do is replace the water pump.  When you're doing that, might
as well flush the system and replace the thermostat and gaskets at the same
time.
Also, don't forget to change you oil.  It's been abused with these heat
cycles.
