What is inspection 1?

I noticed something new on my 98 A6 Avant today, When I started it I saw
"ins 1" ( I believe... it's late) I checked the owners manual and all I
could find is that the car is due for inspection 1 but nothing as to what
should be inspected. I am planning on getting the car in for it's first oil
change next week. I am wondering what I will be asking them to inspect.

Does anyone know what needs to be checked for this sign?
Also this car has the Audi Advantage warranty on it and the maintenance book
showed that it had all it's maint up to the 52,000 mile spot even though the
car only had 49,000 on it when I got it.. Would I be able to have the dealer
pull up all the service records on this car even though it spent most of
it's life in a different state?
