necessity of 90q aux radiator

For some time my auxillary radiator (one in centre) has been weeping,
recently it has got worse, i have recieved quotes to have the centre core
replaced, but i was wondering is it really necessary? or shall i just bypass
it? i live in the uk and it doesnt ever get far beyond 30 degrees c, also my
ke engined cgt only had the single radiator, thanks all.
