Always replace tires in sets of 2 or 4 unless they are almost new (like less than a few 32nds of wear. Tires are the most important safety feature on your car, it's the only connection to the ground. Not something I'd cheap out on if I were you...

Subject: replacing damaged tire on Quattro
Is there any problem with replacing a damaged tire on a 1999 1/2 A4 quattro
with a new tire? The 3 old tires have about 5/32" of tread left, and a new
tire has 10/32" of tread. Will this harm the Quattro drive in any way?
Thanks,
J. McElroy
