Hi.
1): You should be able to get the cam pulley off by attaching your wrench
and giving that wrench a good whack with a small sledge hammer or rubber
mallet. Otherwise, put the belt back on and put the car in 4th gear, parking
brake on and a big rock in front of one wheel! Some will say to lock the
pulley it in place with a screwdriver or something, which is possible, but
hard to describe.
2): To put the crank on TDC, you can take out the #1 plug. Shine a light in
there to see how far down the piston is. Crank it by hand until the piston
comes up pretty close to TDC. What I do is put a long zip-tie down the plug
hole and slowly crank until I see where the piston stops going up and starts
going down. The will be a few degrees of rotation before the zip tie starts
to move back down. Then you can look and see where the flywheel mark is. For
the cam, the is a little groove on the back of the camshaft pulley that you
line up where the valve cover meets the head. You can move a little bit the
cam to get the belt to go into place properly. After you get the belt on,
recheck all the marks to make sure you have it right!
