I am taking CV Joint 101. Need help.

Hmmm, I don't think it can be done with the CV on the shaft.  I must
have had a reason why I removed mine when I did the repack.

Very that the external/internal races are in the correct orientation.
Verify
against the 'good' joint.  You will find a ridge on one side of the
internal
race and the external should have marks on it from the CV boot plate.
You
may also need to shuffle the order of the bearings to get things to
fit.  I
have had one which I could never reassemble. :-(
