I am taking CV Joint 101. Need help.

Just FYI for everyone. I don't know if everyone already knows this, but I
found that AutoZone carries the entire rebuilt shaft for between $60 and $70
with a $50 core charge (for the 4k's anyway). I found this out when I was
looking in desperation, because I was scared of rebuilding it and the local
salvage wanted $120 for the used piece. In short, $70 is well worth it to
me not to have to disassemble and repack both joints. I have replaced 3 so
far at this price. I hope this may help someone out there.

Hi listers.

I am having a problem while assembling new driveshaft CV joint. First,
I did probably a mistake - took it apart, pressed internal part on the
shaft and now I try to assemble it. I should've press in on assembled.
But it is done. I don't have a press and did it in a local autoshop. But
I believe I still should be able to assemble it. Right?
The problem is that after inserting 4th ball it became clenched and I
can not move it at all. I loobricated very lightly before assembling.

Any hints?

Thank you.

Konstantin Bogach.
