I got a hypodermic needle that is made to go on a grease gun and show some
grease in the rubber boots on both the inside and outside of the transverse
link.
No more squeak! I will check to see if there is movement like you suggest.
Thanks a lot for your comment,
Joe

incorrect, this is probably one of the easiest things to change on your
suspension, just hope you have a comprssor and a impact gun !! if ya lift
the car up in the air from the frame and ya grab the wheel and try to push
it in real hard at the top, i bet ya it moves about at least an inch too !!
when they squeek, they are bad !! you can proably get the inner ( the one
that goes bad ) from audi, but it would cost as much to buy the whole thing
in a german aftermarket box !!! prepare to pay at least 75-100 bucks, im
pretty sure they cost me 75 wholesale, and take the new one apart and cover
the threads with anti-sease, and of course when your done, drive it straight
to your local alignment shop !!

I have a 1996 A6 quattro with 112K mi.
The rear transverse link (I think the inside one) squeaks like crazy.
Can the bushings be replaced or does the whole camber adjustment assy. have
to be replaced?
When removing the link it looks like the inside link will hit the coil
spring. Is this correct?
Appreciate your comments.
