95 90q - windows and sunroof sporadically not responding

Wires in the doorjamb are breaking down, I'll bet.

My 200q20v has the same problem:  I can operate the window switches and
sunroof if the door is opened to the first notch in its "keeper".  If
opened farther, or closed partially, the switches won't work.

I'm gathering information/courage to tackle the task of renewing all wiring
in the doorjamb.

Anyone ever seen the vacuum tube in that bundle go to pot?  I'm wondering
if I should redo that stuff too.
