10v 90q calipers on a 20v & history of warping

Hey all-

I was talking to a friend of mine today about dealing with my single piston
front calipers on my 20v. Here is the history, from what maintenance records
I have:

1. new rotors at 90,142 miles

2. machined those rotors at 104,309

2. machined rotors again at 112,667

When I bought the car at 150,000, the rotors were just awful, shaking during
braking, and the car would want to steer everywhere. To my knowledge, these
are the same rotors that were put on at 90,142. I bought Bendix rotors at put
them on at about 153000 miles. What a mistake, lo and behold, they are warped
after 3000 miles of use.

Why is this happening? I've been considering changing to dual piston calipers
and 15" wheels to avoid buying those damned $120 rotors and hopefully banish
whatver this warping problem is.

I was talking to a friend about this...and he suggested just putting single
piston 10v 90q calipers on..which is ideal, because then I would not have to
buy new rims and tires.

So, I have 2 questions:

1. Why is this car warping its rotors? Or, maybe it was just the Bendix
rotors? (which I torqued properly)

2. Any advice on using the 10v 90q calipers? Is this going to screw anything
up? Anyone done it?

Thanks as usual--

Megan
