Crankshaft oil seal

If the seal is not too destroyed, you might be able to try this:

Drill three small holes spaced around the seal, insert a small sheet metal
screw, and use a slide hammer on the screw.  Use gentle hammering, and work
the seal out with the screw in the holes, a little bit at a time.  My slide
hammer has a drill chuck kind of attachment, and I use this on a headless
screw.

I doubt the seal was glued in.  Gentle tapping will get you much further
than a strong tug.
