Bilstein HD in a type 85 coupe quattro, some opinions needed

Fellow listers,
I've finally gotten my H&R sport suspension bought on Ebay some 2 months
ago and discovered it's made of H&R springs and Bilstein Heavy Duty (or
Sprint as they call them in Germany) shocks. Pretty nice for a brand-new
suspension kit bought for 230 Euros, including shipping!
Now I've did some research and found out that the HDs weren't really meant
to be used with lowering springs, BUT as these shocks are "made for H&R"
(as stated on the sticker on them) I suppose the valving has been adjusted
in order for them to be used with shorter springs...
This kit is made for a type 89 quattro car, but I think (according to some
previously done research) they willl fit my type 85 without any problems...
as the Koni PN is the same for alll type 85q/89q cars, I suppose this must
be the same, though Bilstein only lists these shocks for type 89q cars....
As I also have a brand-new set of Eibach lowering springs, I'd like to know
if it'd be better to use the complete kit "as intended" with the H&Rs or
with the Eibachs...
Thanks for any idea anyway,
Mihnea
