- Came to Detroit in the early 90s and applied what I have learned - no luck!
It seems that every fifth car has "den Blinker" on for miles.
Worst ones are the early 80s transportation specials with aftermarket modifications
(muffler dragging on the ground) and with optional special effects (visible fuel and oil
leaks, smoke and car parts distribution system).
More importantly, the stereo system is new and draws enough electricity to dim the
brake lights. I have seen how one of these geniuses ended up t-boning an ambulance
because he couldn't hear or see the emergency vehicle approaching.
Back to the Autobahn, the blinker does work well as long as the approach speed is
within 50 km/h. If you're doing 240 - 250 km/h (lets say approach speed is 160 km/h),
start flashing 500 / 200 / 100m out.
But then, ...Europe has its own idiots as well!
