I've already said my views on Left lane cruising months ago and many of
you know where I stand (usually in court trying to defend myself), but in
this case I guess I should say something. Here's a big surprise, I'm coming
to defend the left lane cruiser! First off, here (Toronto) it is against
the law to cruise in the left lane, but only if you are holding up traffic.
This does not seem to be the case in this story as it was a lazy night with
little traffic with a small band of rebels coming up at high speed.
Second, the left lane cruiser was already passed by three fast movers,
then was flashed by number 4. I take the position that if you've already
been passed by one, then monkey see, monkey do, you know the rest will.....
usually. I'd stay put in the left and let them have their right of way.
This puts #4 in the position of just being a Jacka**. It is also not
illegal for right lane passing here.
Third, I'm pretty laid back and normally wouldn't complain. The worst
anyone can expect from me if I get offended is a good glaring and maybe, if
I'm really mad, I'll inflict my windshield with more "JackA**". In that
case the worst anyone ever gets is my own bad breath if you're unlucky
enough to be sealed inside my car while I spew more inane profanity. That
being said, no one on this list hears of it, unless they're in my car at the
time.
Conclusion: Left lane cruising is bad, M'kay. So don't cruise left
lanes, M'kay. Cause that'll be bad, so don't be bad, M'kay.
