Leaking Rear Main Oil seal on 5KCSQ

Now that I have replaced the clutch and (thanks to the list) got my car (87 5KCSQ) running again, it is leaking oil like a seive!

Needless to say it didn't do this before I replaced the rear main oil seal when I did the clutch (Should have left well enough alone!)....

So did I just not seat the seal far enough?  I cant imagine it being anything else...
