Horsepower loss in drive train

I think more correct is "lost in the drive train as heat".  The 70 HP figure
given seems excessive, but I've seen figures in the 10-15% range at stock HP
levels for losses.  Clearly, if you double the engine HP, you don't double
the losses.

This is why you have transmission oil coolers :-)
