Got pulled over tonight, funny story!

So there I was, driving home from the girlfriend's home, not even two minutes
from her house. I had stopped at a Mobil station to buy a soda for the ride
home. Came out, got in the car, started it up, and off I went. Out of the
corner of my eye as I left the station, I saw a police car pull into the
station, then follow me out behind another car.
Now, before I get any farther, you should know what car I'm driving. Here's
a link to the picture, thanks to Javad:

Basically, the car is a copy of Duane Hale's EC 4000TQ, except I have all
black taillights and only 16" wheels. Everything except the front rings and
the spoiler/rockers is black, including all of the trim. The car has no
badges. Also, the car is loud. Really, really, really loud. And it's low.
Really, really really low.
So, these officers followed me, gurgling along in 4th at 30mph, for about a
mile, then pulled me over. One officer walked up the passenger side and
shined his light in, exposing the roll cage and race seats. He shined it
around a bit, never said a thing. The other officer then walked up and said
"Good evening sir. License, registration, insurance." Usual. Usually, when
I get pulled over, I ask what the problem was. I usually know. And, I
usually get some sort of ticket. I kept my mouth shut this time, and said,
"Here you are." Handed him everything. He said "Uh, exactly what kind of
car IS this"
"Audi Coupe"
"Oh. Ok....be right back."
A minute later, he walks up and said
"Ok, you're all set, I guess it was just tough to tell what kind of car it
was, being all blacked out. Have a good night"
Must be nice to have a badge. Anyone who says there isn't profiling by
police officers, take note. If it had been an older man driving the car, or
if it was an American made Hot Rod, or if it were even a Harley (Which I
SWEAR are the loudest things on the road, I don't get how they don't get
pulled over..) they would have never been pulled over.
Sorry about the length, thought it was interesting though. Then again, maybe
they just wanted to know what the car was....
:-)
Later!
