Oh, I see. I don't recall having to use any special tool to remove the pump from the basket retainer either.
I didn't even know there was a special tool for that. I think mine just pressed it out through the top.
Maybe there was a hose clamp or something.
That part of the procedure I don't remember all that much. I did take the pump and basket retainer out
together, and separated the two from each other out of the tank.
