I got the oil filter housing and nut off; for reference it's a 36mm socket
for KH blocks. Thanks Mike for backing me up..I didn't even realize the MC
blocks were any different. I found the 36mm socket at the local Autozone
for rent. I guess it's used for the air-cooled VW axle nuts. Audi must have
figured the dealers would have this special socket cuz of that. Now I can't
get the bolt out of the block. The middle of the bolt is unthreaded and has
2 sets of thru-holes drilled at both ends of the bolt. I tried using a
allen key w/ a pipe attached, but it just bent. I tried an old drill bit,
but anything that thin to fit in the holes is too week for the torque of
the huge bolt. How does one go about doing this? Thanks again yall!
