Right.  Some time last winter, I noticed my A4 making a
steady squeaking sound at idle.  I figured it was a loose
belt or something, though they all seemed tight enough, and
the timing belt looked fine.  It was in fact the tensioner,
shouting "REPLACE ME NOW!"  The rest of the story you can
guess....
