pls help to replace eurolens

I managed to get a couple of holes on my driver's side lens this winter,
and eventually my low light burned out too.

I was trying to replace the lens, but seems like it's easier said than
done. I have the grill off, and the top and bottom screws off the
headlight (2+2), but I still can't get to the lens. I could probably
unclip it, but there is no way I could clip the new one back on again.
The top and bottom plates that hold the molding above and below the
headlight are in the way. What am I missing? How do I get to the clips?
