    Chaps,

A post I saw on overfills, prompts me to ask this.

I recently changed the Dexron in my '88 100 Avant (drained and removed
the pan) and overfilled slightly.

The system including convertor is stated as holding 3Litres. I put about
2.5 Litres. Now with the engine warm and transmission in 'P' the dipstick
reads nearly 1/2" too high. The cars done maybe 1000 miles since and is
behaving fine. Could anyone tell me what (if any ) the dangers are in this
situation? I'm quite happy to drain off the excess by loosening the fill
tube connection at the pan but wondered if theres a better way or product to
syphon off the excess if need be?

    Cheers

rob
