I think tsr claim that with a flowed and ported big valve head and a
suitable cam, i suspect that to be an accurate figure as friends of mine
have dealt with tsr before now and found them to be very honest and
forthcoming with useful information (at expense of their own profits) after
all a uk 2.3 puts out 136 bhp, a 20v puts 165bhp, therefore a 2.6 motor with
a cam and big valve head should easily be capable of 185 bhp. in fact i
would say 185 to be on the conservative side. I spoke to Mihnea about the
abt cams and he thinks that the 10v cam alone is worth 15-20 bhp if i recall
correctly. A suitable example is the honda prelude 2.2 vtec, 220 bhp, thats
what wild cam timing, hi revs, good head design can do for you, at the loss
of low end grunt (which the vtec sorts out). So 2.6 non crossflow 10v
properly set up would make (IMHO) A very drivable car with a decent amount
of HP.
By The way i dont have any affiliation with TSR Blah Blah
