Hey guys,
Well, after another mad dash to get the car ready for the track, we made it out to Limerock yesterday. Conditions were perfect, although a little hot. Got the GT flying early, running with some big competition in the advanced run group. I ran closest in time to a 928 race car, a few M3's (one J-stock) both old and new, and one quick little C1 Alpina with a 92 325 6 banger in it. Hot little car. No real excitment - I was only passed by a few cars, most of them with significant horsepower advantages, and managed to be faster than at least half of the field. One thing broke - the door latch mechanism. Managed to set my fastest time recorded, 1:06.9, but the car still has a second or two in current form. I need fresher tires, and still a little more from me, but I'm only 2 seconds off of SCCA IT times in the car, so I'm not complaining. It is a blast to drive, for sure, although the major limiting factor at this point is horsepower. It just doesn't have much, and with a few horses it would be lots and lots of fun!
I need to win the lottery.
Later!
