Stunning job, Marc. Inspires me to keep going on with my painfully slow
effort. :)

I just popped the manifold onto the engine today and test-fitted the
turbo and then dragged out the oil lines from the toolshed to get the
alignment of the turbo right along with the lines. I had the lines
rebuilt a long time ago and they reused the ends, welded on some new
bits and then crimped on new stainless braid and line. Turns out the
crimps are way too large and the flexible part is now way too short. I
can barely get the lines into place and if I do they're going to be
under some serious stress. :( I was about to make a post asking folks
whether it would be a good idea to make up some lines myself, but I look
at your pics and noticed you've made new lines as well. :) Excellent.
Any tips on sizes of fittings to get would be helpful, but I'll be
measuring the lines anyway.

Would it be a good idea to simply cut off the current tube and fittings,
flare them and put some AN fittings with braided hose in there? It'd
save on complicated fittings at the block, I think.

Stunning job. :)

G.
