Any ideas (opening the trunk)?

-Apply either a vacuum or pressure to the locking system(or just the
trunk line)...don't remember which does what, sorry.

-replace pump with one from any 80's Audi(if they're not completely
interchangeable, they're pretty much all the same in both electrical
connections and function anyway)

Side note: when I accidentally locked my only set of keys in the
trunk, I discovered the ski sack on the later cars(89-91) has a
zipper in it!  Keys were just close enough to grab.  My old (87)
5000cst had the sack, but I don't think it had a zipper..no idea
about the pre-type44 cars...
