Kneale, Eric,
Speaking from personal experience.... Water can end up in the footwells from
the windshield not being glued in correctly. Back in the late 80's, my
parents had an 86 5ks that needed a new windshield. Brought it to the local
glass place and they put one in. I took it out later that day to run to the
store and it happend to be snowing lightly out. The snow was blowing IN the
car from under the windshield. So back it went. Twice! The windshields
can be difficult to install correctly on the type 44. Another place it can
leak is the doorseal. If it has some splits in it, it can allow for leaks,
however I dont think you would see that if the car was sitting vs driving.
I'm sure someone else can chime in on this....
