Yup, that's just what I do, bring it to the local guy who does a more
thorough job of "remanufacturing" it than Bosch does.  Price was about
the same as yours and it's still working fine several years later.
Sometimes he has an already finished one on the shelf and I just
exchange it instead of waiting.
